The short version

Carbi helps young drivers and their parents find low insurance group cars from trusted dealers. We match you with suitable cars based on your preferences. When you find one you like, we introduce you to the dealer.

We offer three service tiers: a free tier with a single car match and weekly tips, a £49 tier with regular personalised matches over 3 months, and a £99 tier with real-time notifications for 3 months when cars matching your criteria become available.

We're not a car dealer. We don't sell cars, handle payments for vehicles, or guarantee any car's condition. We connect you with dealers. What happens after that introduction is between you and them.

If you're not happy with our service, paid subscribers can get a refund within 30 days.

Carbi is a trading name of Bright 7 Digital Limited, a company registered in Scotland.

What Carbi does

Carbi is a car matching service for young drivers (typically aged 17-25) and their parents. We specialise in cars with low insurance groups (groups 1-10), which are more affordable for new drivers to insure.

Using the service

Eligibility

You can use Carbi if you're 16 or older (to allow for research before you can legally drive). If you're under 18, we recommend involving a parent or guardian, especially for any paid services.

Your information

When you use our service, you agree to provide accurate information about your car preferences, budget, and contact details. If your circumstances change (new budget, different location), let us know so we can find better matches.

Payments and refunds

Payments

Paid tiers require a one-time payment for 3 months of access. We use Stripe to process payments securely. We don't store your card details.

Our refund policy

If you're a paid subscriber and you're not happy with the car matches we send you, or with the dealers we introduce you to, you can request a full refund within 30 days of payment.

To request a refund, email us at [email protected] with your name and the reason you're not satisfied. We'll process refunds within 10 working days.

What refunds don't cover

Refunds are for our service only. If you buy a car through a dealer we introduced you to and have problems with that car, that's between you and the dealer. We can't refund you for car purchases or issues with vehicles.

How we work with dealers

We only recommend dealers with strong online ratings (at least 4.6 stars). If a customer has a bad experience with a dealer we recommended, we'll remove them from our list.

When we send you car matches, we don't automatically share your details with dealers. You stay in control. If you see a car you like and want an introduction, let us know and we'll connect you with that dealer. At that point, we share your name, contact details, and car preferences with them so they can help you.

Important: Dealers are independent businesses. We don't control their pricing, stock, sales practices, or after-sales service. Any contract you sign with a dealer is between you and them. We're not a party to it.

If a dealer pressures you to buy or behaves inappropriately, please let us know. We take this seriously and will stop recommending dealers who don't treat our customers fairly.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, our liability to you is limited to the amount you've paid us for the service. This doesn't affect your statutory rights as a consumer, and we don't limit liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.

If you buy a car and it has problems, your rights are against the dealer under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, not against us.

Your data

We collect and use your personal data to provide the service. Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect, why, and your rights. By using Carbi, you agree to our Privacy Policy.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make significant changes, we'll let you know by email. Continued use of the service after changes means you accept the new terms.

Ending the service

You can stop using Carbi at any time

For free tier: Just unsubscribe from our emails using the link at the bottom of any email.

For paid tiers: Email us at [email protected] if you want to stop receiving matches. If you're within 30 days of payment, you can request a refund.

We can end the service

We can stop providing the service to you if you misuse it, provide false information, or behave inappropriately towards dealers or our team. If we do this for a paid subscriber without good cause, we'll refund any unused portion of your payment.

Complaints and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of Scotland. Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the Scottish courts, though this doesn't affect your statutory rights to bring claims in your local courts if you'
